This post was written almost six years ago. I don’t know if I never shared it, or just took it down for some reason. Regardless it was amazing to revisit this.
Last night as I was putting the final touches on the Oracle presentation for this weekend, and I wanted to listen to something to help me through those last few hours.
As I was scrolling through my music collection, I found these songs from the Inspirational Collection.
Hold Her Tight was a song that my French friend Yves fell in love with. It moved him so much he put it on his website.
Next, was Magnificent.
This one…boy. This was from the Magnificent Module from the On The Edge of Eden program which was such a powerful time for me, especially looking back at what we’ve accomplished together over the years.
It reminds me of when I was in my early thirties, my wife’s uncle Richard (who was a huge inspiration to me) pulled me aside after I played one of my songs for him.
And he said.
“I think you’re magnificent, but you keep trying to tell me you’re just okay.”
I hope you can see the power of this sentence. It changed my life, and after over a decade since he passed, here we are, about to embark upon a series of new journeys within Tessera.
Thank you for sharing this ride with me.
We are all Magnificent.
Note: The video below was done almost 11 years ago. The last Mother in the video (The one kissing the baby) is my wife Jennifer and our daughter Olivia back from 2002, just a few months after she was born. Looking back at this video, (and the words I used within it) gave me chills thinking of Threads of Tessera. You’ll understand why if you’ve experienced the story and watch the video. 😉
