I’m a real person, just like you.
I’m sitting behind a computer as I write this. Just like you’re reading it from an electronic device.
And yes, for this I’m grateful.
And no, no one taught me to say what I’m about to say to you.
So, here it goes.
This letter began as a special offer reminder, but that’s too easy, too shallow.
I hate trying to convey special offers, but they save you money and earn me a little in the process.
Why do I hate them? (Yes I said hate and don’t care if you judge me for doing so.)
Because of this….
What I do with my work isn’t normal. I fashion stories, take people on journeys, and share perspectives that no one else ever has.
But the problem with that, is there’s little tied to the real (physical) world when you’re sitting there with a pair of headphones and your bills are piling up in the background.
Why this is an issue, is that sometimes it leaves us lacking proper perspective.
Look around you, everyone is showing you how to make money, how to start a blog, become a life coach, care about a certain disease, cause, or launch a product with social media.
(Maybe you’re one of those people. And that’s okay too, keep reading.)
But do you truly know what it takes to get what you want? Do you truly know what it takes to move the world?
To shake someone emotionally to their core?
My problem is that sometimes I get so busy working behind the scenes, that I forget to show you these things.
Here’s my point.
I know how to make money.
I know how to be a great father, husband, and sometimes, even a great brother.
I also know how to get things for free.
And yes, I know what it’s like to be desperate and broke.
Furthermore, I know what it’s like to think the world is working against you.
But I also know how to live.
I mean, TRULY live.
I know what it’s like to persevere in any given moment, with or without pressure, and be at peace.
And forget the bullshit you buy into every day.
It’s all sales.
THIS is sales. There’s always a hidden agenda.
Mine is that I’m trying to convince you of my point, to share with you my perspective.
I want you to join me, to see the light within yourself.
As well as be moved to tears.
I also want you to purchase my programs and my music, so that my family can sleep at night knowing that their husband, that their father, did all he could in order to share his message properly and support them.
This, is why I hate special offers.
Simpy because I don’t voice my own truth loud enough, or often enough.
Like most people, I feel my work should be good enough without a discount.
But who the hell am I to justify the value of something you haven’t witnessed before?
Have you ever driven a Ferrari? I have.
And I can tell you right now, no sales page in the world would ever be enough to describe the experience.
So, we take this risk together.
You get a discount, and I gain your trust, your faith, and your reflection.
But make no mistake about it.
I’m not going to sacrifice the beauty and spiritual way I live in order to succeed financially.
I get paid by selling stories, music, and gathering and lecture series based on perspectives no one else is sharing.
Good, we both win.
But starting in 2016, as I wrap up all of my prior obligations, improve my craft with Tessera, and begin to build Inner Eden the way it was meant to be built, it’s time we have these conversations.
Do you want a free house? I can show you.
Do you want a free car? I can show you.
Do you want to stop worrying about money, health, family, and the future?
I can show you.
Do you want to be moved to tears by profound experiences and reflections of the deepest desires of your own truth?
I can show you…
But I’m going to be anything but normal about it, and you’ll have to deal with that.
No, I’m not a follower, and I’m not a good student.
I’m a doer, a maverick, and a mistake maker.
And, I have all the experience and credentials to prove it.
Last weekend I was watching Irish MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) star Conor McGregor at a press conference minutes after he captured the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) featherweight title by knocking out a guy (Jose Aldo) who hasn’t lost a fight in 10 years.
Conor knocked him out in 13 seconds.
Do you know what he said that shook me to my core?
“Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on winners.”
It’s time to stop following others and walk your own path.
I know this sounds incredibly contradictory when telling you that need to buy my stuff before the price rises on Sunday, but the hell with it.
We have a choice to make, YOU have a choice to make.
Just remember this.
You’re going to have to walk with your own strength on this path.
Because as much as I care for you, I’m not going to carry you.
There are no free rides, no more bullshit. No more tactics.
And yes, I know who you are. I know your limitations, your fears, and your doubts.
But I also know your strengths and am humbled by your presence every single day.
If I wasn’t, my work wouldn’t be any good.
We are authentic and that’s what matters more than anything else in this world.
Let the get rich quick gurus show you what your ego wants, then get that bullshit out of your system.
But if you’re going to walk the path I’m walking on, know this.
I’m a Tesserean, to the core.
I know the difference between dream and reality and live within both. And, I also know that if you see Tessera for yourself, you’ll never be the same.
